Cultivated mainly for its minty green, fragrant and spicy foliage. It is clearly different from most other mints and serves as the aromatic base of the famous Mojito cocktail made with rum, sugar, lime juice and crushed leaves of this mint. Its aroma and flavor are pleasantly mild, neither pungent nor overly sweet like other mints. Excellent plant to grow in pots because it is very invasive. Store fresh, dried, or frozen. Hardy in Zones 5
