A graceful looking shrub with the hardy constitution of a Mountain Hydrangea, which explains the ‘Tuff Stuff’ part of the name. Elegant lace cap blooms appear in delicate white and pink shades that sometimes turn blue in acidic soils. Flowers reach down in an arching fashion, and as plants are wide but not tall, they are perfect for small city gardens, container-growing, or in mixed borders and mass plantings. Blooms on both old and new wood, reblooming consistently from late spring into fall. Rich green leaves. Pruning is generally not necessary. Bud-hardy and cold tolerant. Grow in moist, well-drained soil.
