It’s easy to understand the name when you look at the masses of vibrant yellow flowers glow against the backdrop of dark purple-red foliage on this shrub. And the colour of the foliage simply becomes a more intense red later in the season, producing a true ‘nightglow’ effect. Blooms begin late spring and continue through to the autumn. It prefers full sun and acidic, well-drained soil, and will grow to 2-3 feet high and 2-3 feet wide. Shrubs tolerate heat, humidity and drought and attract birds and bees. Great for borders, hedges and containers.
