Manitoba heirloom tomatoes are medium-sized, bright-red, slightly acidic and extremely flavourful; their meaty, rich taste makes them a perfect choice for salads, sandwiches and preserving. An early maturing determinate variety with high yields. Plants are vigorous, open-pollinating and thrive in cooler climates. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant out into patio containers or the garden in fertile, well-drained soil. Apply mulch around the base of your plants and keep them well, though not over-watered.
