This fascinating compact succulent is easy to care for, and although it is often called the pickle cactus – it isn’t a cactus at all! Native to high altitudes in South Africa, it’s fairly tolerant of chilly temperatures. Chubby green leaves are covered in soft, white hairs, and tiny pale-yellow flowers may appear in summer. Pet-safe and air-purifying.
