The show starts in spring when compact mounds of fragrant, silver-green foliage provide a brilliant backdrop to masses of large, deep-purple flowers with clear, bright violet flags. Double Anouk is a breakthrough, since it is the first commercially grown Spanish Lavender from seed. Keep trimmed as flowers fade and you’ll be treated to non-stop colour from mid-spring to late summer. Drought-tolerant once established, plants prefer well-drained soil. Resistant to foliar disease. Outstanding in mixed containers and in sunny borders. Excellent as cut flowers and useful in the kitchen too! Prune back to six inches in spring, although plants may be over-wintered indoors in zones 5 and under. Flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
